Using Races to Train for Other Races
With so many of you training for an upcoming fall marathon, I thought it would be important to include a training tip now (in the very early stages of your training) about how you can use other races to help you train for your main, target race later.
As this article published in Competitor.com points out, there are basically two reasons to sign up and run races that aren’t your “goal” races: (1) for fun or (2) for training (though often it is for a mix of both).
