John’s Crazy Socks Supports LuMind RDS with Alzheimer’s “Forget Me Not” Socks

Giving back is not new to John’s Crazy Socks (JCS), who just announced they are donating $2 from every sale of their Alzheimer’s Awareness Forget Me Not socks to the LuMind RDS Foundation.  They already donate 5 percent of their earnings to Special Olympics and support other causes by creating awareness socks to benefit them.

These high-quality socks will keep your feet warm while helping the progress of Alzheimer’s research for Down syndrome, but it is much more personal than that for JCS.

John Cronin, co-founder of JCS with Mark X. Cronin, says, “I wanted to make these socks for my grandmother, Mamo. She has Alzheimer’s and I love her.”

John and Mark Cronin were introduced to LuMind RDS through the Funding Futures NYC in 2018. They immediately connected with the Foundation’s mission to accelerate research and catalyze transformational clinical networks that lead to improved health and independence for all with Down syndrome. LuMind RDS recently launched the Down Syndrome Clinical Trial Network with 11 Down syndrome clinics in 9 states that will be prepared and coordinated to conduct large multi-site trials under the supervision of experts at providing medical care for individuals with Down syndrome.

Mark X. Cronin explains, “This is very personal for us. John and I have seen the impact that Alzheimer’s has had on our family. It affects not only the patient, but the entire family. And John has Down syndrome and we are all too aware of the connection between Down syndrome and Alzheimer’s.”

With their cute “Forget Me Not” message, they could be a great Valentine’s Day gift, but you can buy them any time of the year to support LuMind Research Down Syndrome Foundation.
